For 20 years, Pantone’s Color of the Year has impacted product development and purchasing decisions in multiple design, fashion and home furnishing industries. The Pantone Color of the Year is carefully selected annually by a group of color experts at the Pantone Color Institute. These experts consider influencing factors such as the entertainment industry, films in production, new lifestyles, new technologies and more.

The Pantone Color of the Year 2019 has been announced as Living Coral. This bright and vibrant color bears a striking resemblance to the brilliant red-pink of a natural coral reef or tropical fish. Pantone describes Living Coral as “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.”

Looking to use this year’s Pantone Color of the Year to add some vibrancy to your home? Try switching out items such as throw pillows and chair cushions. Additionally, accent chairs or tables and accessories such as lamps, flowers and other knick-knacks can add color to a room.
